Travers Weekend Eats 2016

August 26, 2016

Another Travers weekend is here! Good news is, I don’t (as of right now) have my annual Travers cold – but there’s still time.

Before we head into the busiest day of the entire year in Saratoga, I wanted to give a list of some of my favorite spots to dine… keeping in mind that many places may be completely booked.

But there’s always Sunday!

Here we go –

BREAKFAST

Sweet Mimi’s – Get whatever their specialty omelet is, or the lemon ricotta pancakes. Great way to start the day!

Max London’s – Salt cod potato cakes are bomb-tastic. Best thing on their brunch menu, without a doubt. Breakfast pizzas are great, too!

LUNCH

Roma Imports – Italian Mix Sub all the way. You haven’t lived if you haven’t tried this.

Comfort Kitchen – Anything. I especially love their Comfort Burger with a side of tots, or any of their salads, made with farm-fresh ingredients. The mac and cheese will also put you into a cheese coma.

DINNER

15 Church – Any fish entrees, any meat entrees, any veggie entrees… pretty much any and everything on the menu. 15 Church is the mecca for fine dining in Saratoga. There’s really no where else I’d rather go for a fancy meal after the track.

Cantina – Tequila. All of the tequila. Oh and the chicken nachos which is one of my favorite menu items in all of Saratoga.

Saratoga Happy Hour

KinJo Japanese – Hibachi, sake, sake, more sake. They have a great space for hibachi, and an additional dining space for sushi and traditional Japanese entrees, for those who want to be a little more casual this weekend.

There you have it! Happy Travers Weekend, everyone – I hope you all win big at the track, and then wherever you head out to afterwards!
