As I sit here eating soup due to my annual pre-travers cold, the excitement around American Pharoah arriving tomorrow and racing on Saturday is becoming greater and greater.
Up until last night, I personally didn’t think I was attending the big race, but thanks to some fabulous friends (shout out to Matt and Erin Mary!!), I am officially attending Travers on Saturday and am SO excited.
But trust me, friends – I still feel for those who did not get tickets in time, and because it really pisses me off that people are selling their “extra” tickets for an absurd amount of money, I’m going to help you do something else.
It just so happens that many Saratoga restaurants and bars have decided to throw viewing parties, which is exactly why I’m making a pretty serious list for you guys to choose from.
Here we go:
Tapping a keg of Dogfish Head Brewery’s “Midas Touch”, a beer brewed with ingredients dating back to The Pyramids and unveiling their “Pharoahtoga” Sandwich (A Triple Crown of Beef, Turkey, and Ham on sourdough topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, guacamole, bacon and smoked gouda on three slices of fresh sourdough.
This even will offer 3 hours of open bar and BBQ dinner for $50 in advance and $55 on the day of the event, air conditioned bar or out on the patio, on flat screen televisions. American Pharoah merchandise will also be available for purchase.
