The Weekend of Beer

May 19, 2017

It’s been a busy week for me, hence the lack of new posts this week. But I did want to write up something as we head into the weekend with some new things going on.

First, Pint Sized is officially opening today! Today through Sunday, May 21st, they’ll be doing a “soft opening” to get acclimated with the community and get up and running. Then they’ll be closing for a few days to take a breather, and will officially open for good on Thursday, May 25th.

More details:

The shops initial inventory features over 150 craft beers with 12 tap lines, 2 jam packed coolers, and shelving lined with specialty bottles. As the shop builds inventory there will be anywhere between 200-300 craft beers to choose from. Draft beer can be consumed on site or taken to go in growlers. There will be a mix-six discount of $3 off where customers can curate their own selection between bottles and cans. The shops initial draft, can, and bottle lineup can be seen on their Untappd page with special releases from Grimm, Equilibrium, Finback, and other highly regarded American craft brewers. The shop will offer beers for everyones pallet with no style left behind.

Next up, Kru Coffee added taps to their adult beverage collection, and will now be serving drinks Thursday-Saturday! With 8 beers on tap at all times, you’ll never go thirsty.

They’ll also be hosting live music each weekend to turn up the vibe from coffee house to taproom/cocktail bar, and this Saturday will be featuring George Muscatello Trio from 7-10pm.

Finally, the Saratoga Brewfest at the Saratoga Race Course is this Saturday from 2-5pm. Sample over 150 releases from some of America’s best craft breweries. Tickets are $50 today, and $55 on the day of the event (5/21). So if you plan to go, save the $5 and just buy your tickets today! Get them here:

Yeah, I know this post is all about drinking, but it’s Friday and like I said… it’s been a long week.

Get out there this weekend and explore these options this weekend!
