Take Out Week: Day 5

December 12, 2020

This week has been one for the books, and we’re not done yet. I struggled to decide which restaurant to feature for this last post, especially because if I could, I’d feature every single restaurant in the area!

But Solevo was on my mind all week, and when they announced they were launching Solevo Direct, my decision was made.

Speaking of Solevo Direct, you can find the full details here, but in a nutshell, they are offering take out or delivery without any third-party apps (which by the way… take up to 30% of the profits from restaurants.) Call or email the restaurant with your order, and it’ll be ready for pick up in 20-30 minutes or delivered in 30-40 minutes. Delivery is available for anyone within a 15 min radius from the restaurant – so pop 55 Phila into your Google Maps and if you’re 15 minutes or less from the restaurant, you’re good.

I was SO excited to try it for myself that we went ahead and placed an order through Solevo Direct last night. Tim was in the mood for some Spaghetti and Clams, and I wanted Eggplant Parm, so we got both plus the Polpo Appetizer (garlic marinated grilled octopus, crispy ceci beans, olives, celery, salsa verde) and the Chocolate Cake for dessert. I managed to get pictures of everything besides the chocolate cake 🙂

Oh, also… you can buy their famous Solevo Seasoning to have at home with olive oil and bread and it is SO WORTH IT.

Polpo
Spaghetti and Clams
Melanzane Siciliana (Eggplant Parm)

Naturally, we ended the week similar to how we kicked it off, with a tall glass of wine and a fancy meal at home.

Solevo never disappoints, and while I SO wish I was eating at the restaurant itself, having the same great food at home is an excellent option during these times.

Visit their website to see their menus, catering options for the holidays, and how to order direct through them!

Thank you to everyone who has followed along this week. I’ll continue highlighting restaurants and please feel free to reach out if there are any specifics you’d like to see featured on the blog!
