Love to support a great cause and enjoy delicious food at the same time? Well then we’ve got plans tonight, and it’s to attend the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region’s 4th Annual Chef’s Challenge event!

Excelsior Springs, (adjacent to the Marriott)
Throughout the night, there are three different competitions total.
Signature Cocktail Competition:
- Brown’s Maltroom (Returning 2014 Champion)
- Athos Restaurant
- Mingle on the Avenue
People’s Choice Signature Dish Competition:
- Capital City Gastro Pub
- Café Calabria
- Ginger Man
- Mazzone Hospitality
- New World Bistro
- Reel Seafood Co.
- Treviso by Mallozis
- BBL Hospitality Catering
Head to Head, Judges Choice Competition:
John Ireland of Saratoga Golf and Polo Club vs. 2014 People’s Choice Champion, Thomas Gulbrandsen of Excelsior Springs
This is the 4th year I’ll be attending this event, and I can’t wait because this year, I’m attending as a guest judge for the head to head competition! YAY food!
I’ve judged one other competition where Chef John Ireland competed, and I have to say, I think this is going to be a very tough job for me.
