With just a few days until the start of one of the biggest food events of the year, Saratoga says goodbye to the ponies and hello to the Ferrari’s. This three day Wine and Food Festival features food, wine, ferrari’s and fashion, all combined to create a really great time.
The big food events take place on Saturday, September 8th starting at 10:30am. This marks the Cast Iron Chef’s Challenge, sponsored by Adirondack Appliance and Blue Star. This first ever event will showcase Executive Chef Jamie Ortiz of Mazzone Hospitality versus The Wishing Well’s Executive Chef, Patrick Longton in the final match up of the Adirondack Appliance Cast Iron Chef Challenge. In case this is the first you’re hearing of this challenge, refer to my friend Mamatoga’s coverage of the challenges, which took place over the summer at the Saratoga Farmer’s Market and Saratoga Polo.
The event will be juried by none other than Bravo TV’s “Top Chef Master” Suvir Saran, and is open to all with a $10 ticket. You simply can’t beat that.
