Ahhh… nothing like starting out the week with planned dinners and then by Tuesday saying screw it, let’s get take out. Happens to us pretty much every week, and if it happens on a Tuesday, my mind immediately goes to one thing: Taco Tuesday.
Today, I’m featuring Mi Casa by Leon’s, and their $2 Taco Tuesday special.
Well actually, let me preface this by saying that everything on the menu at Mi Casa is fantastic. Burritos, enchiladas, tacos, etc. just rock my world. Also, they have a newly added vegan section of their menu that features some delicious options for those looking to eat less meat (or are full-on vegan!) Here’s a look at some of their newest menu items:
Something to note: Mi Casa has been offering curbside pick up since back in March, and it’s truly one of the safest pickups I have experienced. Their staff is diligent about keeping everyone safe, and it makes the whole process just that much easier.
Anyway, back to the tacos. They have $2 taco specials every Tuesday, featuring your choice of Taqueria Style (cilantro, onion & lime) or Texas Style (lettuce, cheese & tomato), and the filling of your liking, including:
Shredded Chicken (Fresh Chicken)
Ground Beef (Seasoned Taco Beef)
Carnitas (Juicy Mexican Pork)
Huevos Con Chorizo (Mexican Sausage & Scrambled Egg)
Black Bean & Queso Fresco
Al Pastor (Grilled Pork & Pineapple)
Chorizo (Mexican Sausage)
Personally, I’m a big bean fan, so I almost always just order the black bean and queso fresco taqueria tacos + a side of refried beans and rice (aka the Mexican taco dinner.) It’s a low key obsession of mine. But if you’re just in the mood for tacos, $2 Taco Tuesday is the way to go!
Whether you order on a Tuesday or any other day of the week (they’re open Monday – Saturday, 3-9pm), you’re going to walk away with an incredibly delicious meal while supporting a fantastic family-run business.
