Off-Broadway Restaurants to Grab Dinner

August 4, 2017

We all love Broadway, but sometimes it’s a pain in the butt to eat downtown (or on side streets) between crowds, parking, and wait times. That’s why I’m giving some off-broadway restaurants some love today by highlighting some of my favorite spots to eat when you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Broadway.

2 West Bar & Grille

A quick drive from town, 2 West is located down the street on West Ave. With ample seating, and a menu with options for everyone, this is definitely a great option for dining. They also have outdoor seating and a nice fire pit for those slightly cooler nights coming up!

Mama Mia’s Restaurant

If Dave Matthews likes to dine at Mama Mia’s, you know it’s gotta be good. While they’re known for their pizza (which is awesome), they are so much more than pizza. They make some amazing pasta dishes, traditional Italian food, and of course their desserts alone are worth a visit.

The Brook Tavern

The Brook Tavern might be right down the street from Saratoga Race Course, but it definitely attracts the local crowd during track season. Their cocktails are some of the best in Saratoga (trust me, I’ve had my fair share), but they also are often switching up their menu with seasonal dishes based on fresh produce. Oh yeah, and that skillet cookie above… I’d like to marry that. If that was legal. And not totally weird.

Lake Ridge Restaurant

Lake Ridge is a bit of a drive from downtown Saratoga, but it’s totally worth it. Located in Round Lake, the food at Lake Ridge is top notch. The prices are affordable, too. The picture above is of the lobster betty, which is my favorite item on the menu and I think everyone should try at some point. They have great steaks too, if you’re into that kind of thing.

There you have it – some great options for food in Saratoga County that doesn’t require driving around for 20 minutes looking for a parking spot or waiting 1.5 hours to get in.
