In a press release I received last night, it was announced that Dan Urschel, Executive Chef and Owner of Mio Posto, has found a new temporary home at The Century House in Latham, NY.

After an early morning fire on Thanksgiving, several restaurants were damaged and forced to close during the busy holiday season in Saratoga, including Mio Posto, Sperry’s, and Hamlet & Ghost. Since the fire, The Century House welcomed staff from two of the affected restaurants. In addition to Dan Urschel they were also proud to have Chad Posey from Mio Posto and Colin Murphy from Hamlet & Ghost (now back at Hamlet & Ghost) working in their kitchen.

The big news is that Dan Urschel of Mio Posto has taken the reins of the a la carte line at The Century House, Tuesday through Saturday now through late March. The Century House will enhance their menu by featuring a “Mio Posto Special of the Day.”

So if you’re really bumming because you haven’t been able to enjoy the amazing creations from Mio Posto since November, you can again!

This is such an awesome situation that came out of an absolutely terrible event. So happy to hear that The Century House was able to provide opportunities to some of the chefs who were unable to use their kitchens these past couple of months.

The Century House is located at 997 New Loudon Rd. (Rt. 9) in Latham.
