Amuse Me, Please.

November 3, 2019

Oh hi, I’m Ashley. I have this thing with Mediterranean food and it’s all I want to eat anymore.

Truly.

I try to make it at home, but I always fall short. Maybe I don’t know the right proportions of seasonings yet, maybe I just suck at seasoning in general, who knows.

All that matters is Dominic Colose is opening Amuse on Broadway this Friday and I’m tremendously excited. I was lucky enough to be invited for a little sneak peek tasting (probably because I stalk him regularly and he felt sad for me) and I just have to say… we are almost not worthy.

The food that Dominic will be preparing at 420 Broadway will be fresh, authentic, sophisticated and just straight up delicious.

From homemade hummus and pita and whipped feta with jammy figs and honey, I knew from the first bite I was going to be in heaven.

Here’s a friendly reminder to mark your calendars because November 8th is coming, and you need this food in your life.

Hummus with Za’atar, Olive Oil, Homemade Pita
Whipped Feta, Walnuts, Fig Compote
Beef Tartare, Harissa, Confit Yolk, Spicy Pickles & Toast
Carrot Soup, Green Chermoula, Pistachio
Merquez and Egg Shakshuka
Black Cod Tagine

Beef Tenderloin, Traditional Turkish Doner Kebab Spices, Long Hot Peppers and Tomato Jam
